I am Sarah Jayne, and contrary to expectations I am not giving up cake. I am, however, on a mission to lose some weight, build some muscle, and generally get a bit more awesome.
I have been following the Slimming World plan, so this blog is mostly here to chart progress and share the occasional recipe. Hopefully I can help other slimmers to find some new and exciting things to do and eat!
So, a few facts and starting stats:
As of 08/11/15, I am 5 foot 3 inches and weigh 10 stone and 1 pound (that’s 1.6 m and 65 kg to those of you who prefer S.I units). My body fat percentage is at about 30%.
My goal weight is 8 stone (51 kg).
My goal height is 5 foot 8, but that is probably not realistic.
I have previously lost 2 stone on Slimming World, but got back into bad habits and put 2.5 back on. I started again in August and have lost 9 pounds so far. That’s not much for such a long time, as I wasn’t taking it seriously. This time I am going to give it my all (or like… 80%…)
In non-slimminh news, I have a Masters degree in Physics and now work in research. In my free time I like to practice aerial circus arts (hoop and silks, maybe one day trapeze), and sometimes I let my boyfriend drag me to the climbing wall.
I also enjoy macaroni cheese, terrible dance movies, trashy magazines and singing terribly.
